SSS-Class Revival Hunter Gets Its Anime Starting January 2027
One of the most popular Korean action-fantasy webtoons is officially getting an anime adaptation. Date, studio, broadcast: here's what's already confirmed.
It’s now official: SSS-Class Revival Hunter is getting an anime.
The adaptation was announced in September 2026 with a first trailer and a visual. Its broadcast will begin in January 2027, and Crunchyroll has confirmed that the series will be available in many regions worldwide, including Europe.
For those who don’t yet know the work, I’ll deliberately stay very vague: SSS-Class Revival Hunter originated as a Korean web novel, later adapted into a webtoon. It features a modern fantasy universe built around hunters, powers, and a mysterious tower.
No need to know more before discovering the series.
First Team Already Announced
The anime will be directed by Hiroaki Sakurai, with Sayuri Oba on script and Takahiro Yoshimatsu on character design. Animation is handled by STUDIO fu.
Two main Japanese voice actors have also been revealed: Takeo Otsuka and Satoshi Hino.
For now, no precise January date nor any episode count has been announced.
The announcement comes especially at a time when adaptations of Korean works are taking an increasingly visible place in Japanese animation. After the massive success of certain licenses originating from webtoons, SSS-Class Revival Hunter is among the next adaptations to watch.
The good news is we won’t have to wait very long: January 2027 is just a few months away.
